Albergo diffuso & private wine spa · Collepietro, Abruzzo

Time stopped
here.

A medieval village at 850 metres, between the Gran Sasso and the Majella. Here the hotel is the village itself: eight rooms in five stone houses, a private wine spa and one long table every evening.

01   The idea

Here the hotel is not a building. It is the whole village: its lanes, its stone, its silence. You don't just check in to Collepietro. You move in, like a resident, even if only for a while.

Edoardo Scuderi, a lawyer and entrepreneur, came to Collepietro by chance and fell for it at first sight. He pictured a place for refined, eco-friendly travel, and set out to build it.

Collis Petri opened in 2019 as a B&B. In 2024, after a long and careful restoration of every house, it became an albergo diffuso of charm: old homes brought back to their original beauty, with the comfort of today.

What is an albergo diffuso?

An Italian way of hosting. The rooms are spread across restored historic houses of a village, all a few steps apart, with one reception and the care of a hotel. You get the key to a room, and the whole village around it.

Dinner at 8:30.
At one long table.

A few steps from reception, facing Porta Gran Sasso, Patrik’s Home Restaurant welcomes the guests of the relais in the evening. There is no à la carte: the house cooks a set menu of its specialities, from grandmother’s recipe book and sometimes in a modern key, each course paired with a wine from Abruzzo.
